Fly Fishing for trout & grayling
in Transylvania
We invite you on a fishing trip with two locals Radu and Tudor, to one of the most beautiful rivers of Carpathian mountains.
This experience is much more than just a fishing vacation, it's about the love of nature, fauna, and flora, the culture of the place, traditional local food, and first of all about the friendly atmosphere created by these two local Guides.
Base Camp
The amazing place where you can enjoy all this together with us is located about 2 hours drive from the international Airport Cluj-Napoca.
We will reach the village where our accommodation will be located. Here we will find the ideal place made to burn the stress accumulated in everyday life, there is only birdsong and the sound of the river running near us.
Upon arrival we will serve a traditional Romanian drink we will eat a traditional Romanian meal
and we will plan for fishing days to come.
River
The river is 42 km (27 mi) long with basin size of 199 km2 (77 sq mi) and is the main river in Rodnei Mountains.
The upper reach of the river, upstream from the confluence with the Gusatul Mare at Gura Rebra, is also known as Rebrișoara. The Valley is surrounded by the high peaks of Nedea, Ţapului, Bârlei and Craiului, forming two minichanions, namely the Guşeţului Canyon, between Lucaceasa and the Rebrii Obârşia, and the Black Canyon between the Black Spring and the Fisherman's Spring.
In addition, on the River there are numerous waterfalls, bends and rapids.
The river is super-gorgeous, with quite a lot of fish. Part of the river is under protection, because it crosses the national park of Rodnei Mountains. The catch & release area is around 12 km long, in this part we will carry out the three days of fishing and adventure.
