Safety and Respect Guidelines
Along the Transfăgărășan Road, there’s a chance to spot wild brown bears in their natural habitat – a truly unique and memorable experience for many visitors.
However, it’s essential to enjoy this moment safely and responsibly, with respect for both nature and wildlife.
To ensure everyone’s safety and to protect the animals, please follow these simple rules:
-
Do not feed the bears – feeding wild animals changes their natural behavior and can put their lives at risk.
-
Keep a safe distance – never approach the bears.
-
Stay calm and quiet – avoid loud noises or sudden movements that may disturb the animals.
-
Do not throw food or litter – waste can attract bears closer to the road and create dangerous situations.
-
Follow your guide’s instructions – your guide will let you know when and how it’s safe to observe the bears, in accordance with local park regulations.
We aim to make this experience authentic, responsible, and safe, allowing you to admire the wild beauty of the Carpathians while preserving it for the future.
